The Institute of Oceanography is one of the five Institutes of Hellenic Centre for Marine Research. The Institute is now in a very competitive position in the European marine research and plays a leading role in the eastern Mediterranean. The Institute of Oceanography is the only institute in Greece that conducts physical, chemical, biological and geological marine and coastal research. The Institute is involved in the study and acquisition of data and information from all aspects of the marine environment. Its main focus is on the interactions among physical, chemical biological and geological processes that govern the functioning of marine ecosystems.

L'Istituto di Oceanografia, uno dei cinque Istituti del Centro Ellenico per la Ricerca Marina, riveste una posizione altamente competitiva sia in ambito europeo sia nel Mediterraneo orientale, dove svolge un ruolo di primaria importanza. Unico in Grecia che conduce la ricerca biologica, geologica fisica e chimica marina e costiera, l'istituto è coinvolto nello studio e nell'acquisizione dei dati e delle informazioni sotto tutti i punti di vista dell'ambiente marino. La relativa attenzione principale è sulle interazioni fra i processi biologici, geologici fisici e chimici che governano il funzionamento degli ecosistemi marini.

Fokusi i tij kryesor eshte ne nderveprimet midis proceseve fizik, kimik, biologjik dhe gjeologjik qe administrojne funksioninimin e ekosistemeve detare.

Institutul este acum intr-o pozitie cheie in Cercetarea Marina Europeana si joaca un rol important in spatiul est Mediteraneean. Institutul de Oceanografie este singurul institut in Grecia care conduce cercetari marine chimice, biologice, geologice si costiere. Institutul este implicat in studiul si prelevarea de date si informatii din toate aspectele mediului marin. Scopul principal il constituie interactiunile de-a lungul proceselor fizice biologice, chimice care guverneaza functionarea ecosistemelor marine.

Το Ινστιτούτο Ωκεανογραφίας είναι ένα από τα πέντε ινστιτούτα του Ελληνικού Κέντροε Θαλασσίων Ερευνών. Το Ινστιτούτο βρίσκεται τώρα σα μία πολύ ανταγωνιστική θέση στην Ευρωπαïκή θαλάσσια έρευνα και παίζει ένα ηγετικό ρόλο στηνανατολική Μεσόγειο. Το Ινστιτούτο Ωκεανογραφίας είναι το μόνο ινστιτούτο στην Ελλάδα που διεζάγει φυσική, χημική, βιολογικήκαι γεωλογική, θαλάσσια και παράκτια έρευνα.
