Jan Jämte is an associate professor in social studies at Örebro University (Sweden). He holds a PhD in political science and his research focuses on new social movements. In particular, he is interested in the analysis of radical left movements and different forms of anti-racism and anti-fascism. Amongst his recent publications on these topics are: Radical Anti-Fascism in Scandinavia: From Radical Counterculture to Pragmatic Radicalism? The Collective Identity of Contemporary Radical Left-libertarian Activism in Sweden (2019) and Radical Anti-Fascism in Scandinavia: Shifting Frames in Relation to the Transformation of the Far Right (2017).

Ilaria Pitti is postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Siena (Italy) and adjunct professor of sociology at LUISS (Italy). Former Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the University of Örebro (Sweden), she is Vice President (Southern Europe) of ISA’s RC34 “Youth Studies” and Humboldt Fellow at Goethe Universität (Germany). In her research, she engages with young people’s involvement in political squats, solidarity movements, and football supporter movements. On these topics, she has published the book Youth and Unconventional Political Participation (2018).
