Lo Stato regionale come preliminare del federalismo. Il caso belga

Abstract

The article scrutinizes the process that could lead the regional State to a form of federal State. This fact occurred in Belgium history, a country that, through a long and at times troubled institutional process, changed into a really federal State, with Walloons and Flemishes today in charge of large autonomies. Will the Italian regionalism lead to a federal State in Italy? It would be a long and difficult process, because of the peculiarities of the Italian case and the lack of strong regional parties, except some cases, able to start and conclude this project.
