A scientific atlas with the aim to discover phytoplanktonic guilds of transitional aquatic ecosystems of the Mediterranean and Black Sea region

In the TWReferenceNet Project, the studies on phytoplanktonic guilds of transitional aquatic ecosystems included in CADSES area, begin to give interesting scientific products. In the Project, the ecology group of the Department of the Biological and Environmental Sciences and Technologies of the University of Lecce, in collaboration with Institutes of research and Universities of Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy and Romania have carried out seasonal samplings in transitional aquatic ecosystems of the Mediterranean and Black Sea region also with the aim to study the phytoplanktonic guilds of these ecosystems. Structural and ecological characteristics of the phytoplanktonic cells have been described already in a very simple way for some Italian lagoons (i.e., Alimini, Cesine, Margherita of Savoia, Torre Guaceto), albanian lagoons (i.e., Karavasta, Narta, Patok) and Rumanian lagoons (i.e., Leahova, Sinoe), and have been organized in the scientific Atlas published on the web site www.twreferencenet.com. The Method of Utermöhl or “Method of the inverted microscope” is used to analyse the phytoplanktonic samples in which an optical microscope is connected to a computer through a digital video camera.

Nell’ambito del progetto “TWReferenceNet” gli ecologi del Dipartimento di Scienze e tecnologie Biologiche ed Ambientali, in collaborazione con Istituti di ricerca ed Università di Albania, Bulgaria, Grecia, Italia e Romania, hanno condotto lavori sperimentali su corporazioni fitoplanctoniche in siti italiani e non, inclusi nel progetto, effettuando campionamenti stagionali in ciascun ecosistema acquatico.

В рамките на проекта TWReferenceNet изследванията на фитопланктонните съобщества на преходните водни екосистеми от територията на CADSES, дават интересени научени резултати. По време на проекта екип от изследователи от отдела за биологични и екологични науки и технологии на Университета в Лече съвместно с изследователските институти в Албания, България, Гърция, Италия и Румъния осъществиха сезонни пробонабирания в преходните водни екосистеми на Седиземноморския и Черноморския регион с цел изследване на фитопланктнните съобщества в тези водни обекти. Структурните и екологичните характеристики на фитоплактонните видове бяха описани за някои от лагуните в Италия (т.е., Alimini, Cesine, Margherita of Savoia, Torre Guaceto), в Албания (i.e., Karavasta, Narta, Patok) и в Румъния (i.e., Leahova, Sinoe), и бяха обобщени в научен атлас и публикувани на уеб страница www.twreferencenet.com. Στο ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα TWReferenceNet, οι μελέτες πάνω στην φυτοπλαγκτονική συνάφεια των μεταβατικών υδατικών οικοσυστημάτων που περιλαμβάνονται στις περιοχές CADSES, αρχίζουν να δίνουν ενδιαφέροντα επιστημονικά αποτελέσματα. Δομικά και οικολογικά χαρακτηριστικά των φυτοπλαγκτονικών κυττάρων έχουν ήδη περιγραφεί με έναν πολύ απλό τρόπο, για μερικές Ιταλικές (Alimini, Cesine, Margherita of Savoia, Torre Guaceto), για Αλβανικές (Karavasta, Narta, Patok) και Ρουμάνικες λιμνοθάλασσες (Leahova, Sinoe), και έχουν συμπεριληφθεί στον επιστημονικό Άτλα που έχει δημοσιευθεί στην ιστοσελίδα www.twreferencenet.com. In proiect grupul de ecologi al Departamentului de stiinte si tehnologii biologie si ambientale al Universitatii din Lecce, in colaborare cu institute de cercetare si universitati din Albania, Bulgaria, Grecia, Italia, Romania, au foacut prelevari sezoniere din ecosisteme acvatice de tranzitie din regiunile Mediteraneana si Marea Neagra, de asemene cu scopul de a studia breslele fitoplanktonice ale acestor ecosisteme. Caracteristici structurale si ecologice ale celulelor fitoplanktonice au fost descriese deja intr-o maniera simpla pentru cateva lagune italiene (ex. Alimini, Cesine, Margherita of Savoia, Torre Guaceto ), lagune din Albania (ex. Karavasta, Narta, Patok) si lagune din Romania (ex.
