Viaggiatori arabi ed europei ad Antinoe: dal Medioevo al XVIII secolo
Abstract
The city of Antinoe, founded by the emperor Hadrian, was visited, described and sometimes illustrated by Arab and European travelers. In this paper the aim of the Author is to review the travel reports and retrace the described monuments of the Roman period, considering and comparing the ancient and modern sources about the city.
